Applying for PedFACTS Instructor Status

The 1-hour online PedFACTS Orientation is designed to teach individuals how to:

  • Prepare to teach a PedFACTS Course.
  • Submit appropriate PedFACTS administrative forms to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
    In one sitting, individuals will:
  • Submit an online application.
  • Complete the Online Orientation.

The PedFACTS Orientation includes general information about the PedFACTS Course, along with 25 test questions. An individual must demonstrate suitable experience and training on the application and pass the Online Orientation with a score of 80% or higher in order to become a PedFACTS Instructor. Upon receipt, the AAP will review the application and Online Orientation score and respond via e-mail. Instructors who meet the qualifications and pass the Online Orientation will be issued an electronic instructor verification form.
