PedFACTS Instructor Qualifications
Individuals can become PedFACTS Instructors in one of the three ways:
- Individuals with adequate content knowledge of first aid who can also demonstrate adequate teaching experience (e.g. professional health educator; state instructor; or an instructor from another nationally recognized training program) can receive instructor reciprocity. Instructor reciprocity requires the completion of a 1-hour PedFACTS Online Orientation in order to become a PedFACTS Instructor.
- Individuals who are healthcare professionals with teaching experience need to complete a PedFACTS Provider Course and Orientation in order to become a PedFACTS Instructor.
- Individuals with no teaching experience need to complete a nationally recognized Instructor Development Course prior to enrolling and completing a PedFACTS Provider Course and Online Orientation in order to become a PedFACTS Instructor.
